With the B2B procurement barometer wlw (previously: „Wer liefert was”) Visable presents quarterly the demand trends and current market developments in the SME sector, based on the approximately two million monthly search queries on wlw for products, suppliers and services. Significant in the current year-on-year comparison are the increases in India's sent search queries and Hungary's received search queries.
Looking at the increases in product researches we find that the chemicals trade is in first place with an increase of 279.13%. This is exciting and suggests that a lot of research is being done, but less is being bought. The general economic downturn and the declines in various sectors such as construction are also affecting the chemical sector. The third position almost invites a smile - the increase in research for lawn mower repairs is now the last sign that summer is over.
Foreign trade between Germany and India at record level
India's significant increase of 14 points in the number of searches sent via wlw reflects the dynamic development of India's foreign trade, especially with Germany: According to the Federal Statistical Office, German goods worth 9.9 billion euros were exported to India by July 2023. This corresponds to an increase of 21 percent compared to the same period last year. In August, growth accelerated even further to 27,7 percent.
Hungary's clear swing with 22 points more in the search queries received could, among other things, allow a conclusion to be drawn about the trade restrictions on Ukrainian grain.
